Full-Time at TheStreet.com TheStreet.com, a digital financial media company, is seeking a Designer for its Premium Services division. Qualified candidates will be hands-on team players who are great communicators, as well as independent, proactive, opinionated, creative, fun, great with tight deadlines, detail-oriented and able to organize and coordinate projects from initial concept to completion. This person reports to the Senior Designer of Premium Services and is responsible for the creation of online and print materials such as ad campaigns, emails, landing pages, newsletters, mini-sites, information graphics and all other types of promotional and site-specific collateral. Responsibilities: -Communication with editorial and marketing departments in development of clear, results-oriented, user-focused design. -Work in close collaboration with Copywriter and Sr. Designer on visual strategy and tactics. -Design and implementation of financial-market-specific design solutions. Qualifications: -Bachelor of Arts in graphic design. -At least 5 years of experience working in a professional graphic design environment. -Proficiency in Mac-based graphic design software programs, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. -Working knowledge of Flash and InDesign. -Ability to successfully translate financial data into attractive information graphics. -Ability to explain and substantiate design solutions to Senior Designer and other key team members. -Strong online production skills. -Ability to stretch html boundaries. -Typographic knowledge and sensitivity. -Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. - Knowledge of direct response principles. -Familiarity with financial industry a plus.
